My Step deputy Sos Avetisyan advised people to remain indifferent about the military exercises taking place in Turkey and Azerbaijan during a press conference at the Ararat press club. “Similar military exercises have taken place before with a similar military scenario, which is aggression against Armenia. But it is important to remain vigilant towards the information field and not spread panic or misinformation in society. I am sure that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the military-political leadership, and soldiers are following all of this. The Minister of Foreign affairs has also spoken to a number of his colleagues recently. We are maintaining contact as much as possible with all our allies and making society pay attention to the actions of Turkey and Azerbaijan. The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs have made a statement that called upon the sides to only find a solution to this conflict through peaceful negotiations. At the same time, we have seen that Turkey and Azerbaijan are being aggressive and carrying out collaborative military exercises. It is important that we remain indifferent and we maintain a high level of contact with our colleagues.”
