Of course, Kocharyan’s ideas can be argued against, just as it is possible to argue against the current Prime Minister’s claims in his recent interview with the Russian PBK channel. For example, in order to prove that some NGOs in Armenia are not anti-Russian, Pashinyan said that these NGOs were formed during the former administration, which was, presumably, pro-Russian. However, it is important to consider that these NGOs were fighting against the authorities for the past 20-some years and they were in favor of regime change (by carrying out activities that are not typical of NGOs, in my opinion). However, the majority of those NGOs have supported the government after 2018 by becoming members of that government, fighting against the “former authorities,” and going beyond the scope of their functions in the public sector.
