“The question of how prepared our people are now is very rhetorical because we can view everything as a comparison,” the advisor to the governor of Tavush, Nikolay Grigoryan, said during a discussion panel organized by Media Center.
According to him, the people are much more defended now than in the past. “Our state is more prepared and defended than ever before. However, there is a lot of work left to be done in that aspect because the war is growing more difficult and new weapons are being utilized. The UAVs are a prime example. They were flying across the skies of Tavush like bees. They were incredibly dangerous, but they were getting destroyed and dropping like flies. They almost caused no damage as they were being destroyed. The cooperation between the army and the community is very important for defense. When the troops and the people are standing side-by-side and they are able to understand one another’s problems, the principles of a nation-army, unity, and harmony are emphasized and prioritized. So, to answer the question, I can say that yes, we are more prepared now. However, I will discuss the buts in the next session.”
