An animation film on equal rights to military education in Armenia is produced

A short animation film about equal rights and opportunities for men and women to military education is produced in Armenia. The film is produced by the Council of Europe’s Project “Human Rights and Women in the Armed Forces of Armenia-Phase II’’ in close cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and the Human Rights Defender’s Office of Armenia.

The film is aimed at raising the awareness of public at large about the equal opportunities for men and women in getting military education and advancing in military career. The film is particularly useful for school age girls and boys, when getting oriented about choosing their future profession.

The animation film will be broadcasted by TV program “Zinuj” of the Defence Ministry of the Republic of Armenia shown at Armenian Public TV as well as shown in the military units as well as other relevant institutions.

This animation film supports the implementation of the Action Plan of Human Rights Protection National Strategy for 2020-2022. This is the second out of five films planned under the Action Plan of the Strategy. The Project has already produced the first animation film in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and the Human Rights Defender’s Office on Introduction to the Military Service in Armenia.

The Project “Human Rights and Women in the Armed Forces in Armenia – Phase II’’ is implemented by the Council of Europe within the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Armenia 2019-2022. Action Plan level funding is provided by Germany, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Sweden.
