‘Implementation of combat tasks should be made by one hundred percent during the pandemic‘: Director of the Rescue Service

Vrezh Gabrielyan, Director of the Rescue Service of the MES of RA held consultation with the Heads of Structural and Regional Departments.

Heads of various subdivisions, Yerevan and Regional Rescue Departments of the Rescue Service of the MES gave the Director reports on the registered emergency calls, implemented activities, preparatory trainings during the week, civil defense issues, as well as the technical condition of the vehicles.

On August 10-17, 16 903 emergency calls were received to Crisis Management National Center. 833 emergency and 143 fire cases were registered. There were 3 victims and 104 casualties.

Command and staff exercises will be organized on “Organization and implementation of the actions of the airports and public administration system bodies in case of strong earthquake”. The Ministry of Emergency Situations will hold a meeting with the representatives of the Civil Aviation Committee and “Armenia International Airports” CJSC in the near future, during which will be discussed issues related to the training.

Hamlet Matevosyan, r/s major general, Rector of Crisis management state academy suggested implementing outgoing trainings on civil defense issues in the provinces from mid-September, highlighting that CMSA is ready to cooperate with the relevant Departments and Regional Subdivisions.

Vrezh Gabrielyan, r/s major general, Director of the Rescue Service summarized the results and gave a number of assignments at the end of the consultation.
