Recently, the name of Armenian national team midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is often discussed unnecessarily on the Internet, social networks and other platforms. The fact is that our captain spoke with the head coach of the national team and said that he could not join the team because, in his opinion, he was not in good shape now. This circumstance divided the society into several camps: those who support Mkhitaryan’s decision, those who support Mkhitaryan for some selfish purposes, and those who consider Mkhitaryan’s act unacceptable. We believe that this issue has clear sides: Henrikh Mkhitaryan, head coach of the national team and FFA. Others should not use this situation as an opportunity to pursue their ambitions.
All this worries us, having one of the largest football schools in Armenia, we present our youngsters Mkhitaryan as an example of a successful player. He is the only player in the history of independent Armenia who not only achieved success playing in leading European clubs, but also made Armenian football famous. Mkhitaryan is the idol of our young players, their motivation, therefore, by questioning his reputation, we threaten the future of our football.
We are sure that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will give us and our football fans a lot of happy moments in the national team jersey. As you know, Henrikh signed a contract with AS Roma. We wish him good luck and express our confidence that we will be proud of the player Henrikh Mkhitaryan for many years.
