“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ statements did not go unnoticed; Turkey responded to these statements. We did not only resort to making statements. The representatives of the OSCE permanent mission to Armenia issued a notice that would block Turkish observers from visiting Armenia,” the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anna Naghdalyan, said during a press conference with journalists regarding Turkey’s statements supporting Azerbaijan and its approach towards the Artsakh conflict in the aftermath of the July skirmishes. “This proves that our statements are also being implemented,” she said.

Regarding a statement made by the Turkish Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar that Turkey is a side in the Artsakh conflict, Anna Naghdalyan emphasized, “Our approach is clear: Turkey seems to want to present itself as a side in the conflict, which is a reflection of its destabilizing policies. It seems that a country that as blockaded Armenia and justified the genocide is trying to be the victim. Armenia does not see Turkey as a mediator. It is clear that the only format for resolving the Artsakh conflict is the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.”
