A young author named Vova Arzumanyan recently published a book titled The Army’s Boy, which is dedicated to the memory of Hero of Artsakh Armenak Urfanyan. The author’s essays, compositions, stories, and interviews gathered from commanding officers and soldiers about the hero are all included in the book.
In a press conference at the Tesaket press club, Vova Arzumanyan apologized that Urfanyan’s mother, Hamest Nersisyan, was unable to be present at the press conference. He said that she was still upset over the fact that the graves of April War heroes Armenak Urfanyan and Robert Abajyan were defaced a few days ago. Urfanyan’s mother appealed to law enforcement and demanded that they find out who was responsible.
“In April of 2016, Armenak Urfanyan became a standard of patriotism for me. His character and his military path were truly legendary,” Vova Arzumanyan said, and then spoke about how he came up with the idea of writing a book about Urfanyan.

He said that he named the book The Army’s Boy due to the fact that Armenak once told his mother that he is no longer hers, but the army’s boy. Vova Arzumanyan said that the book was published the day after the President of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan bestowed upon Armenak Urfanyan the title of Hero of Artsakh.
Vova Arzumanyan added that the book will be distributed among military bases in Armenia and Artsakh, as well as in schools.
