“Everyone sitting here can confirm that we were never a part of Azerbaijan historically. That can be proven by historical documentation. When we encounter that, we ask people to provide us with proof, but the proof does not exist. We do not have any basis, no work has been done,” the secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, Samvel Babayan, said during a meeting in the parliament of Artsakh, claiming that nothing has happened in foreign policy over the past 30 years.
He calculated that 60 archived documents are necessary to prove that phrase “the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan” needs to be removed from the three fundamentals of the conflict resolution. “We need to present proof in order for that to be removed. We can’t simply ask them to remove it.”
The former commander of the Defense Army said that a worthy project is in the process of being developed for the army. He did not wish to publicly share details. He only said that they are trying to present their knowledge, substantiate, and enable the army to advance as much as possible. In general, they are carrying out similar projects in all directions, he said.
Samvel Babayan assured that the Security Council office is working hard to present the results from 2011 to the public. Then, it will become clear if it will be necessary to increase or decrease the number of employees.
