Imagine that a deputy from My Step were to criticize the policies of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, especially the minister who, as they say, is “especially close to the emperor.” What does that deputy expect? They will accuse him of betraying the ideals of the revolution, they will bring him to Sayat-Nova Street and severely reprimand him. It is even possible that the Prime Minister will call the deputy to hold a meeting and demand that he decide which political team he is on. But the “Facebook political parties” will uncover his ties with the former corrupt regime. It’s clear that Arsen Julfalakyan will not be scared of any of that. But, as an intelligent person, he understands that his criticism will not have any influence over the situation. And that is most likely why he wants to resign from parliament.
