EU NEIGHBOURS . From 14 to 18 September the city of Hrodna will celebrate EU sustainable Energy Week with a variety of events and activities.
The city will organise study trips to companies with successfully implemented environmental and energy-efficiency programmes, such as the water supplier Grodnovodokanal and the local recycling plant. Visitors at the trolleybus park can learn about the advantages of electric buses, and cyclists will be invited to a joint bike ride.
As part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week in June, the signatory cities and municipalities of the EU-funded initiative ‘Covenant of Mayors East’ in Belarus have organised a series of competitions and events across the country.
