Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today held a consultation on the draft state budget for 2021.
Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan introduced the 2021 budget bill development process, the macroeconomic and fiscal framework. He stated that the budget bill is being developed based on the economic developments and forecasts at home and abroad.
The meeting next focused on the projected macroeconomic indicators, fiscal policy directions, capital expenditure programs, government priorities and anti-crisis measures. A number of proposals and recommendations were voiced during the exchange of views that followed.
The Premier stressed the importance of per-sector program budgeting and highlighted the active use of this component in developing the budget bill. Nikol Pashinyan instructed the stakeholders to follow up the discussion, ensuring interaction between the draft state budget and other strategic documents.
