On 22 September Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan visited the regions of Shahoumyan and Martakert with a working visit.
The Head of the State followed the launch of the asphalting of the 17 km long road leading to Karvachar from the Vardenis-Martakert highway, inquired about the organization of the process, gave a range of instructions on the spot. President Harutyunyan noted that the development of the town of Karvachar and the Shahoumyan region is of a strategic importance, and new investments will be directed further on to the realization of the whole potential of the region.
The next stop of Arayik Harutyunyan was the Harutyunagomer settlement of the Martakert region to partake in the commissioning of the 3,2 km long asphalted road connecting the community to the highway. According to the President, improvement and asphalting of the roads of all the communities adjacent to the highways are mainly included in the government’s program for the next 5 years.
During the visit, the President was at the “Kharkhaput” border checkpoint, inquired about the works carried out, urging to show compassionate attitude towards those visiting Artsakh.
