Yesterday, our ambassador Andrea Wiktorin virtually attended the signing ceremony of the contract under the Yerevan Energy Efficiency project for construction works of N36 & N49 kindergartens. The project will increase the energy efficiency and earthquakes resilience of kindergartens: 15 kindergarteners are expected to be fully renovated, while about 75 will benefit from a lighter renovation.
The ambassador recalled Europeans Union’s commitment to tackle climate and environmental challenges and Europe’s aim to be the first climate neutral continent by 2050. Thus, the European Union welcomes this pioneer project in Armenia that will make 90 kindergartens more energy efficient and resilient to earthquakes.
The Yerevan Energy Efficiency project is implemented by the Municipality of Yerevan with a support the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership (E5P), European Investment Bank (EIB), the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and UNDP.
