“One of the two soldiers from Sisian who died was a woman: junior sergeant Hasmik Arzumanyan… Yes, there is nothing that is too difficult for an Armenian woman,” Bright Armenia deputy Srbuhi Grigoryan said during an extraordinary session of parliament.
According to Grigoryan, it seems as if a woman’s mission is to maintain and demand peace. “No, in our case, we all know that we are not begging for or demanding peace. Peace is mandated. It seems as if women shouldn’t take a gun and fight, but no. Armenian women frequently take up arms to defend their families and children.”
An extraordinary session of parliament was held to create a statement condemning Azerbaijan for its military aggression against Artsakh on September 27th.
