“Heavy battles took place along almost the entire border all day. The northern and southern parts were particularly tense. Overall, since the beginning of the war, Azerbaijan has 790 casualties, of which 180 died in near Karvachar. They have approximately 1,900 wounded. Armenian subdivisions used anti-tank and other means to destroy 137 tanks and armored vehicles, 72 UAVs, 7 helicopters, and one airplane,” Ministry of Defense representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan said at the Armenian United Infocenter.
According to him, Tuesday was particularly unprecedented in the sense that the Vardenis city of Armenia was also fired upon. It was fired upon using aircraft and other means, especially battle UAVs. Hovhannisyan said that an Armenian SU-25 jet was shot down by a Turkish F-16 fighter.
“Azerbaijan was quick to deny it ridiculously, claiming that Azerbaijan does not have that type of fighter in its arsenal. We know they don’t. The fighter belonged to Turkey.”
