SYDNEY: ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) Radio’s popular PM program, which regularly attracts hundreds of thousands of listeners, featured a story on Azerbaijan’s attacks on Armenia and the Armenian Republic of Artsakh, reported the Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC-AU).
The show’s host Linda Mottram anchored the episode, which featured interviews at the ANC-AU office, with young Armenian-Australian and with Azerbaijani-Australian community members, as well as with Richard Giragosian of the Regional Studies Centre in Yerevan.
Giragosian verified Azerbaijan as the responsible party of the attacks beginning on the 27th of September, which has resulted in the latest breakout of war in the Nagorno Karabakh region, while ANC-AU Executive Director Haig Kayserian discussed growing support among Australian politicians to recognise the Republic of Artsakh’s right to self-determination.
