Azerbaijan is spreading informational panic: Nelly Baghdasaryan

October 06,2020 16:06

Information is spreading across Azerbaijani social media that the cities of Gandzak, Mingechevir, Beylagan, Shamkir, Aghjabedi, and others were shelled from Stepanakert. In an interview with Aravot Daily, the international affairs advisor to the President of Artsakh, Nelly Baghdasaryan, said that this information is not true as the Defense Army operates in accordance with relevant military regulations for targeting the military targets of Azerbaijan, which is based on the use of all possible mechanisms to avoid targeting its civilian population.

“Of course, Azerbaijan needs a reason for intensively shelling Stepanakert. But the information that has been leaked in the Azerbaijani media is important in another aspect: Azerbaijan blames Armenia for the long-range retaliatory rocket fire on military facilities located in Azerbaijan, which has been repeatedly denied by the Armenian Ministry of Defense. This also speaks of the inefficient mechanisms for controlling the flow of information and informational panic used by the Azerbaijani military-political elite,” Nelly Baghdasaryan said.
