The Yerevan municipality will allocate 100 million AMD for the rebuilding of Stepanakert. The Yerevan city council made this decision during an extraordinary session.
The 100 million AMD, according to the deputy mayor, Sergey Nersisyan, will be used to rebuild infrastructure and buildings that were damaged in Stepanakert.
“We will allocate 100 million AMD from the 2020 budget reserve of the Yerevan municipality for the implementation of capital works to rebuild civilian infrastructures and facilities damaged as a result of targeting the capital of Artsakh, Stepanakert, in accordance with the article on economic classification, other capital grants, and communities,” the deputy mayor of Yerevan said.
The mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, said that the issue was discussed with all the factions in the city council and it was passed with a unanimous vote.
