Today I had a meeting with H.E.Mr. Nico Schermers, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Armenia.
We discussed the wide range of issues of Armenian-Dutch bilateral relations.
During our conversation I have underlined and greatly valued the position of the Netherlands regarding the policy of Turkey and especially the recent resolutions adopted by the Dutch parliament which called the Government to condemn the hostile actions of Turkey and its support to Azerbaijan in the war against Artaskh (Nagorno Karabakh).
I drew Ambassador’s attention to the fact that in the light of these new developments the international community, including the Netherlands, should take more decisive steps and recognize the independence of the Artsakh Republic.
