“The Political and Economic Affairs Officer at the US Embassy in Armenia said that they are aware of everything. They knew that there are mercenaries sent by Turkey to Azerbaijan. They said that they are aware, but they are unable to make any comments on behalf of the US President,” Armine Melkonyan told reporters after meeting with the official.
A group of citizens and public figures gathered in protest outside of the US Embassy in Yerevan demanding that the embassy condemn Turkish and Azerbaijani aggression against Artsakh. The Political and Economic Affairs Officer promised the protesters that they would organize a briefing in accordance with the protesters’ demand to send to Washington that would present the events in Artsakh and Armenia. Armine Melkonyan said that the embassy official also welcomed the fact that they are able to demand solutions in such a peaceful manner.
“Once again we saw on a state level that the United States recognizes that terrorists also joined this war,” Arsen Vardanyan said. He was also present at the meeting with the embassy official. The embassy official stated that they are in direct contact with the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh, and they frequently send information to Washington.
Protester Anahit Bakhshyan said that the terrorists fighting in this war are the same terrorists who carried out the 9/11 attacks in New York in 2001.

We also spoke about how the airport in Ganja was bombed in self-defense since they had launched bombs towards Artsakh from there. Civilian structures, such as schools and preschools, were destroyed,” Bakhshyan said.
The protesters stated that they are waiting for action to be taken.
