During a war, there needs to be a focused and upright government led by a completely responsible individual. The other individuals and political forces need to set everything aside and help the current authorities. The authorities need to set everything aside and use the experience, potential, and connections of former presidents, other officials, and all political parties. Negative charges, or as Ter-Petrossian would say “dangerous signals,” come about when debates go in the wrong direction and when people use any opportunity to blame each other or spread hatred towards the former presidents or current prime minister even during a war. Therefore, the President of Artsakh did the right thing by consulting with generals who had different opinions. Organizing a meeting between the former presidents of Artsakh in Stepanakert was the right thing. Finally, the Prime Minister’s meetings with forces outside of parliament and the former leaders of Artsakh was also the right thing to do. “Uncovering” enemies and traitors due to personal political views and writing about it on Facebook is the wrong thing to do.
