A resident of the Azatan village of the Shirak Province, Artush Knyazyan (b. 2001), was killed as a result of the enemy’s terrorist aggression. The head of the Azatan community, Vardan Ikilikyan, told Aravot Daily that Artush was his parents’ only son; his parents couldn’t have children for 12 years. He has one sister, and his father went to work outside of Armenia. When he heard the news of his son’s death, Artush’s father came back from Yakutsk, Russia.
Artush will most likely be buried in his village’s cemetery, where three fallen heroes were already buried from the current war.
“When his father comes back, I will discuss it with him. Everything has to be as his parents wish. I suggested that he be buried next to our other heroes,” the Azatan leader said.
The head of the Azatan community posted the hero’s picture, writing, “The latest terrible news from the Artsakh war: Artush Yeghish Knyazyan. We inform you with the deepest grief that the resident of the Azatan village and immortal defender of the homeland, Artush Knyazyan, fell while pushing back the Azerbaijani forces. We express our deepest condolences to the hero’s family. Eternal glory and honor…”
