Values are ‘not to blame’

November 04,2020 18:57

Democracy, human rights, multiculturalism, and other values have been under attack during this historical time period. Those ideologies have been attacked for at least the past two decades, but they received one of the latest attacks due to the coronavirus; limiting human rights is inevitable during a global war against a virus, and many claim that the more restrictive the limitations, the more effective the fight will be. The latest attack took place during this war. The war seems “localized” to the world, but that is simply an illusion; the violence growing in European cities are also a war carried out by the same forces fighting against Armenia. It’s another issue entirely that the European governments do not wish to see that war. They continue to speak about human rights and “coexistence” with different cultures, but in reality, those issues are of no importance to European leaders. European governments are not as interested in the safety of their citizens (which is the main human right) as they are in selling weapons and buying oil or gas. They do not even realize that the nationalist side will become even more influential in this war, which will threaten law-abiding Turks and other Muslims living in their countries. What is this if it’s not an attack against multiculturalism? The same goes for how the Israeli government is not particularly interested in the armed attack against the synagogue, since nations and beliefs are less important to Israel than the drone business. Therefore, it is difficult to claim that the Jewish state believes in any values.
