Since the end of World War I, on the second Sunday of November or the Sunday closest to the 11th November, the UK and other Commonwealth countries observe Remembrance Day to remember those fallen in all conflicts.
This Remembrance Day, British Chargé d’Affaires to Armenia, Ambassador Helen Fazey joined the Heads of Diplomatic Missions and intergovernmental organisations, senior Armenian officials, representatives of the British and Commonwealth communities in Armenia and many others to lay wreaths and flowers at the Eternal Flame in the Victory Park in Yerevan. The Remembrance Day ceremony also included a prayer officiated by Very Reverend Father Garegin Hambardzumyan, Head of the Mission Department of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
