The people from Hadrut who were forced to evacuate as a result of Azerbaijani military aggression carried out protests by the US Embassy in Armenia regarding the fact that the Hadrut region would be given to Azerbaijan in accordance with the statement signed between Nikol Pashinyan, Ilham Aliyev, and Vladimir Putin, as well as the fact that the people of Artsakh have lost their homes and their rights. “We lost everything, but we still hope that the US will remain the face of democracy. Return Hadrut to us. Hadrut is Artsakh,” Hadrut resident Meri Davtyan said.
An employee at the US embassy received three people as representatives of the Hadrut residents.
“We presented our demands. The embassy representative listened to us and said that the ambassador is also interested in a resolution to the issue. She will be organizing round table talks in which we will also be able to participate. The representative said that they will contact us and invite us to the discussion,” Meri Davtyan told reporters.
The Russian embassy did not receive the residents of Hadrut.
