The mayor of Goris, Arushan Arushanyan, the “small bowl” portion of the Goris-Kapan route will not be given to Azerbaijanis as outlined in the trilateral agreement. The “small bowl” area, as it is known to drivers, leads to the Vorotan River, which is in Kubatlu.
“But who is going to let that happen? In any case, the residents of Goris will not allow that area to fall to Azerbaijan. At the moment, I don’t want to talk about what we are going to do. Let everything reach its final phase so we can understand what is going on. Perhaps there are some things that nobody knows about, which we will understand in the final phase. I will talk about it then. I, as a resident of Goris, and all the residents of Goris, will not allow any problems to happen with that route,” the mayor of Goris told Aravot Daily.
He did not wish to provide his opinion on the trilateral agreement, according to which Goris would become a border city.
