‘If the people decide…’

Since the majority of citizens do not trust the political parties demanding the prime minister’s resignation, according to those who worship the people in power, there mustn’t be any demands for his resignation. How can we find out if there is any demand or not? Half of Armenian Facebook users believe that the government worked efficiently over the past 2.5 years, including during the war, and “Nikol is our god, Nikol is our king.” The other half does not agree. But we must note that the first group (the prime minister’s fan club and fakes) is more organized than the rest. According to a sociological survey, Pashinyan has 30 percent positive ratings. But that, most likely, does not mean that the remaining 70 percent are demanding the prime minister’s resignation. The My Step deputies also do not have any major concerns with the current situation and state with a stern attitude, “We are not clinging to our seats; if the people demand it, we will leave.” The people can express their will through snap elections (if they are not rigged), but the government is against that. Therefore, the situation has reached a deadlock.
