Representatives of the Armenian intellectual community presented a letter to the French embassy in Armenia as France is a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group demanding the return of Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijan and the bodies of fallen soldiers and civilians.
Participants took the letter to the embassy and gave it to a representative of the embassy. “He promised that he will give our letter to the French ambassador today. We said that we expect a response regarding putting the demands of the letter into effect,” People’s Artist of Armenia Hrant Tokhatyan said. He also told reporters that they expect a response from the Russian embassy to a letter they had presented earlier. Tomorrow, they will be gathering by the US embassy in Armenia at 1:00 PM.
“When this process is over, we will present what we can do next. Similar letters have been presented to embassies by our compatriots in the diaspora. I ask that everyone take samples of these letters from our pages, share them, and send them to international organizations. An uproar will bring about results,” Hrant Tokhatyan said.
He also noted that they do not have any contact with the government about this issue. “If I said that the government is not taking care of this issue, I would be lying because I do not know. I can only suspect that it is not working on anything, which is why none of our prisoners have been returned. There is no such information.”
