Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a consultative meeting on the Military Insurance Fund’s future activities. The Premier noted that the Fund is the main instrument that should be used to provide social protection to the families of those who fell defending the Motherland, got disabilities, as well as to the families of missing servicemen.
“We are going to discuss a roadmap for the Fund’s future activities in order to understand the steps the Government should take, what the Central Bank should do and what issues will have to be addressed in the near future,” – Nikol Pashinyan said.
Military Insurance Fund Director Varuzhan Avetikyan presented in detail the activities envisaged in the roadmap, which seek to expand the funds raised, comply with the commitments assumed before beneficiaries, cooperate with the donors, and cope with the emerging organizational problems. A number of proposals and recommendations were voiced during the exchange of views that followed.
Summing up the meeting, Prime Minister Pashinyan stressed the need to take concrete steps to increase the Fund’s resources in a bid to provide quick and efficient services to beneficiaries. The Premier issued specific instructions to that effect.
