The right time for holding a march

December 15,2020 11:32

The Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Artsakh informed the public yesterday about the results of one of their most important tasks: a three-day grieving period will begin on December 19th, which will be followed by a march. Although the two aforementioned positions are now nominal in many respects, the power of these individuals seems to be quite sufficient to be able to organize a mourning procession.

All of us have been mourning since November 9th, especially those who lost loved ones and their homes during the war. I and, I believe, many others are also mourning due to the fact that it was possible to avoid the deaths of several thousands of people or, at least, reduce that number if it weren’t for the morbid ambition of the commander-in-chief and his unbridled desire for self-affirmation. I mourn because we lost while having so many losses. We did not only lose territories, but we also put the Armenian statehood in danger. I also mourn because the Prime Minister, ministers, and members of My Step still hold speeches, justify themselves, and sometimes even humiliate, threaten, and blame certain people or “dark forces.” It turns out that any non-glorifying judgment of the government is hostile propaganda and terrorism.

The political authorities and soldiers still have not presented to the public how and in what circumstances the majority of our soldiers died. We read and hear different stories about how 18-20-year-old soldiers died in their positions when “bombs were falling from the sky.” I do not want to provide more details because what we know is simply several examples in the end. The authorities have the whole picture, which, I believe, proves that they are clumsy, amateurish, disorganized, and irresponsible.

The best way to honor the memory of our fallen soldiers would have been to own up to their mistakes, apologizing, and resigning. But in the instance of these blind worshipers of power, that is, of course, not possible. There aren’t hundreds of thousands of protesters on the streets, which means that the government is working well and it is not responsible for anything.

Instead, they give speeches and calls to action constantly. Since the Prime Minister loves to give speeches and receive likes, and those likes are most likely more important to him than human lives, he will most likely give a speech on December 19th. And since he loves to lead, he will most likely lead the march for losing.
