Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan held Thursday’s session of government. During the session, he said that the Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan is currently in the Syunik Province. He said that the border troops are carrying out deployment tasks along the Syunik borders.
The Minister of Territorial Administration and Development, Suren Papikyan, added that he is in constant contact with his colleagues in the Syunik Province.
“The governor is currently working with the border services and the Ministry of Defense. According to my sources, border troops are distributed along the entire length of the Armenian border. In order to avoid disinformation and different comments, I must note that the borders of the Republic of Armenia are secure, and they are being controlled by our Armed Forces. I believe that law enforcement bodies will have the opportunity to make a statement about that soon,” Papikyan said.
