The first consignment of the 100 buses purchased by community means is already in Yerevan. The next consignment consisted of 30 buses will arrive in January 2021, and 40 more ones in February. The new buses will come out in Yerevan streets in the middle of January. All bus drivers will wear uniforms.
Mayor Hayk Marutyan presented the new buses in the new transport park. The cabins of the new buses are equipped with air conditioning systems, the height is enough for standing, driver’s cabin is equipped with electronic ticketing and GPS systems, 4 announcement e-boards for passengers, a system of bus-stop announcement, low floor adjusted for prams and wheelchairs.
Mayor Marutyan also touched upon other changes provided for in the transport system. In particular, the Mayor informed that within the frames of the competition announced recently, purchase of 161 buses of big capacity (8 m) is planned to be financed from the community budget.
