Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian had a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart
On December 23, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian had a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
The Foreign Ministers discussed issues regarding the implementation of the provisions of the trilateral statement on the establishment of a ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone and the deployment of Russian peacekeepers achieved on November 9, including the issues on the urgent settlement of humanitarian problems. In this context, the Foreign Minister of Armenia emphasized the addressing of humanitarian issues, particularly, the creation of appropriate conditions for the return of the displaced Armenians of Artsakh, the restoration and protection of their rights, as well as the release and return of the captive civilians and prisoners of war.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Russia also touched upon a number of issues on bilateral and international agenda.
