At December 25 extraordinary sitting moderated by Artak Manukyan, the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs debated the item on Proposing the Candidacy of Karen Arustamyan presented by My Step Faction for the Vacant Post of the Member of the Audit Chamber and the Candidate in that post to the National Assembly. Artak Manukyan introduced the candidate’s biographical data and highlighted his professional capabilities.
It has been noted that Karen Arustamyan works in the Audit Chamber from 2005 and PhD on Economy. In his speech he underlined the importance of the development of the institutional capabilities of the Audit Chamber.
The MPs’ questions related to the cooperation between the National Assembly and the Audit Chamber, the rise of the audit quality, the transparency and the accountability of the structure’s activity, the training of the resources and the problems of the inner audit.
The Standing Committee unanimously voted for Karen Arustamyan’s candidacy.
