“The purpose of the “For Hadrut” organization is to demand that the entire world recognize our right to live where we always have. We must work together to find ways to return to our homeland, live on our land, drink the water from our mountains, and raise our children under blue skies. Unfortunately, we are deprived of all of those rights today. We are forced to live waiting for support and for the state to make decisions about us,” a member of the “For Hadrut” NGO’s coordinating group, A. Avanesyan, said during the NGO’s executive council meeting.
He added that he served the Armenian army in every way possible over the last 30 years. Now, his sons and grandchildren continue his work.
According to him, the Armenian army and soldiers did not lose. Individual military-political leaders did.

The director of the Deoccupation of Hadrut NGO, Arpi Vanyan, also gave a speech. She said that they are preparing to knock on all doors, even ones that are unreachable to them, just so that this issue can be resolved. According to Vanyan, it is possible to return to Hadrut. It is possible to achieve this through negotiations, and not through military means.
“Although we are working as part of different organizations, we will unite for all our efforts so that we can have the best results. Both the Deoccupation of Hadrut and For Hadrut NGOs have the same social, legal, and political goals,” Arpi Vanyan said, adding that they are already preparing several political resolutions that will be presented to state and international organizations.
