The students at the Davit Bek village school, which is now a border village, are not scared of gunfire. They said that the September War was only scary for a few days.
“Projectiles were flying above us and exploding, but now it’s good that they aren’t shooting. The war wasn’t fought with automatic guns; this was a different fight,” 11-year-old 7th grade student Henry said. He pointed to the hill near the school, and said that is where the Turks are.
“They can shoot now if they want to, but they aren’t. They’re not shooting, so our soldiers aren’t shooting,” Henry concluded.
