Lieutenant colonel Artak Martirosyan dispatched to the front line from the very first days of the Second Artsakh War and was appointed at Hadrut-Fizuli section. On October 15, hearing about a group of conscripts being in a blockage, without hesitation rushed to their aid: was seriously injured and gave his life for the homeland.

Artak Martirosyan was dedicated to the defense of the homeland since he was 16 years old. He had implemented the service in peacekeeping missions in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. He implemented the service for 2 years in the Civil Defense Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. On his initiative, the shooting range of “Lusakert” practical training center was furnished.

The family members and friends of the immortal hero lieutenant colonel Martirosyan continue to live with unspeakable pride and longing.
