For several days, relatives of servicemen who died in the Artsakh war in Azerbaijan have been holding various protest actions. Family members of 17 servicemen complain that their soldiers were buried in an abandoned place in the Garadagh district on the outskirts of Baku. The relatives demand to re-bury the servicemen in “Martyrs’ Park”.
The parents announced that 17 servicemen from Yasamal and Nasiman districts of Baku were buried on the roadside in Garadagh district without the consent of their families.
Yesterday relatives held a protest at the cemetery. They argue that the area is swampy and the graves are flooded with water. The relatives of the victims removed the gravestones, as a result it turned out that the graves were flooded. This angered the parents of the victims even more and the situation escalated, in result, the relatives tried to destroy the graves.
According to information disseminated in the Azerbaijani domain of social networks, the protesters spent the night in the cemetery and are now continuing the rally.

Earlier, relatives of the victims held a rally in Baku, closing Tbilisi highway and Parliament Avenue near the Ministry of Defense in order to attract the attention of officials and express their discontent.
The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan and other state structures have not yet reacted to these actions.
