EU NEIGHBOURS . The emergency assistance to spontaneous arrivals from Nagorno Karabakh ‘Act Now’ project, financed by the European Union, has provided 120 displaced families in the Shirak region with hygiene items, psychosocial and psychological support, and educational assistance to children.
On 8 February, the Ambassador of the European Union to Armenia Andrea Wiktorin visited the premises of World Vision Armenia, which implements the project, where tablets for children are being stored until their distribution to Shirak region. With these tablets, 173 displaced children will gain online access to education. During the visit, the Ambassador highlighted the importance of access to education for displaced children, and discussed the situation of youth and displaced people in Armenia.
