The head of the Prosperous Armenia political party, Gagik Tsarukyan, also participated in the opposition’s rally demanding Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation.
During his speech, he said that he came to tell the truth, and he never lied to the people. He spoke about the economic crisis, pandemic, war, soldiers missing in action, and the parents of prisoners of war who do not know anything about their children’s whereabouts.
“It’s terrible. The parents of prisoners of war and soldiers missing in action cannot sleep at night. They should at least be received and heard, but these people are instead ignored. You can remember how I said on June 5, 2020, that we are on the verge of doom and the government needs to resign. These young people are unable to govern. They haven’t done anything in two and a half years. I said that if they don’t resign, we will lose Artsakh. I said that we only had 3-4 months back in June, and then the September War began. If they had a brain, they would have listened and prepared, they would have taken steps to ensure that the war didn’t happen and that we didn’t have as many casualties. The people have gathered today in this cold weather and snow because all hell has broken loose. Is there anyone here who doesn’t have debt?” he asked.
The protesters answered, “No!” “If there is no work, then there is no money. This is a crisis. People cannot feed their children and pay for utilities. How are they supposed to live?” he asked rhetorically.

Gagik Tsarukyan said that before he came to Freedom Square, people working in different sectors approached him and asked how they are supposed to live. “People approach me and cry, saying that they have four children and they can’t support themselves. The state has to pardon some loans until the situation improves.”
He stressed that the country’s situation will get worse and worse every day, and the only way for Armenia to be saved is for the government to resign.
