“Yesterday, one of the most cynical representatives of the government presented us with a message from the supreme coward, according to which if something does not go their way, they will open fire on the people. I have to ask, who are you to open fire on the people, you traitors, who are you? Are the 5,000 people you sacrificed, the 10,000 people you mutilated, and the 100,000 people you left homeless not enough for you? People, who are they? Traitors!” the former Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, Arpine Hovhannisyan, said during the Homeland Salvation Movement march today.
The chair of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Defense and Security Affairs, Andranik Kocharyan, had said that if the opposition is talking about capturing buildings, they must understand that the buildings are under national defense, and the state is allowed to open fire.
Arpine Hovhannisyan congratulated the citizens of Armenia, saying, “Nikol Pashinyan is scared. In other words, after Saturday’s rally, he understood that there is a public demand for him to resign and for him and his gang to leave Armenia. You are traitors. You betrayed the trust of the Armenian people. Who are you going to fire upon? Those who gave you power on a platter? Armenia without Nikol is our future, and that future is upon us.”
She urged the crowds not to be afraid.
