Andranik Piloyan, the Minister of Emergency Situations of RA, hosted Jonathan Lacote, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Armenia.
Minister Piloyan appreciated the armenian-french cooperation in the spheres of emergency situations and civil defense, stating that this cooperation dates back to 1988. Highliting the security of the population and the ability of resilience during disasters, the sides expressed their readiness to continue and deepen joint activity in this direction.
They also touched upon the possibilities of training armenian rescuers with the support of the french side in the fields of disaster medicine and psychological service.
The sides once again expressed their readiness to expand joint programs in the field of civil defense and to ensure continuity at the end of the meeting.
