It was revealed during the Gyumri city council session that the three-story building that was newly constructed on 18 Mikhail Saltykov-Shchedrin Street would be turned into a butter factory.
The head architect of the city, Henrik Gasparyan, reported that the owner of the public building located at this address appealed to the municipality, asking to have it turned into a building with purpose.
“He wished to turn it into a production site. Butter production will be organized here. This building is located at the corner of Isahakyan and Shchedrin streets,” Henrik Gasparyan clarified.
He said that the package was sent to the construction committee to reach an agreement. The package was accepted, and it also includes a decision from the interdepartmental commission.

Samvel Balasanyan also praised the owner, saying, “He is a very punctual individual. If it were anyone else, they would have simply produced anything, and it wouldn’t have mattered to them to change the purpose of the building.”
Aravot Daily asked Henrik Gasparyan who the individual is who established the butter factory.
He did not give the name of the business owner, but he said that the individual is from Yerevan, and he will be renting the newly-constructed public building located on 18 Mikhail Saltykov-Shchedrin Street in Gyumri.
