“I respect the law, and I believe that this happened consciously,” entrepreneur, philanthropist, founding partner of Futures Studio, and co-author of The Roadside Manuscript, Ruben Vardanyan, announced during an online discussion as part of the “Let’s Talk About the Future” series co-sponsored by Futures Studio journalist and author Mark Grigoryan.
According to him, it is important to live as the field is outlined. Then, he clarified, “Even those who were born in Armenia but do not live in Armenia can become the Prime Minister. No matter whether I like it or not, that is the law today. I keep saying that it is more important to choose a model than choosing a last name.”
According to Ruben Vardanyan, the most important principle is what kind of country we want to create.
He spoke again about rumors regarding his becoming the Prime Minister. Ruben Vardanyan said, “I have honestly said that I have never worked in the state system. I have always been a person who tried to build bridges between the state and private citizens. I have worked with Robert Kocharyan, Serzh Sargsyan, Nikol Pashinyan, and other prime ministers. I did not choose the leaders- the people did- so I do not have the right to interfere. I am one person who has implemented long-term projects in Armenia. I cannot wait because I understand that state-business cooperation is a difficult and challenging environment.”

Ruben Vardanyan also explained why people like Nikol Pashinyan, Gagik Tsarukyan, and Serzh Sargsyan. “They say that they are people who know what they are doing. They are all worthy people, of course, but the issue is what kind of country we are creating. It is also important that there be interaction at the private state level.”
Ruben Vardanyan assured that it is impossible for one person to create a prosperous and safe country. That is only possible to do with unity.
To conclude the discussion, Ruben Vardanyan said, “I am not ashamed to look everyone in the eye because I know that my family and I are doing everything to ensure that Armenia has a dignified future.”
