“iGorts” Offers Unprecedented Opportunity for Diaspora Armenians to Lend their Expertise in Armenia’s State Institutions
YEREVAN, ARMENIA (March 16, 2021) – The Republic of Armenia’s Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs launched the “iGorts” 2021 program, which will place up to 50 Diaspora Armenian professionals, with relevant academic credentials and work experience, inside Armenia’s ministries and state institutions.
Taking place for the second year in a row, applications are open until the April 15th deadline and available to complete in English, Armenian and Russian. Following the application process, shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview, and those selected will be appointed, for a term of one year, to the corresponding state institutions.
The “iGorts” program is the first time in the history of the Republic of Armenia where the state invites Diaspora Armenian professionals en masse to work inside of the government and finances it fully without any external funding. The program not only offers an unparalleled public service opportunity, but also opens a new window for Diaspora Armenian professionals to establish a deeper connection with the homeland on the institution-building level.
