Today, On March 17, ES Minister Andranik Piloyan hosted Mrs. Marie Velasquez Fredriksson, Manager at the member state of the “Twinning” programme. The meeting was also attended by John Andersen, Resident Twinning Advisor.
The sides discussed the process of the “Twinning” programme aimed at strengthening the capacity and institutional development in the field of population protection of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Minister Piloyan highlighted this program implemented by the EU as a joint activity of Sweden and Lithuania in order to make Armenia a more resilient country, to reduce the impact of various disasters on human life, economy and communities of the country.
It was noted that the regular visits, meetings were held and the draft Action Plan was submitted to the project component managers for discussion between the beneficiary subdivisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Resident Coordinator in order to implement the program.
