“Onik Gasparyan is the chief of the General Staff and that’s it. I don’t know what he will do later on, but there are expectations now. It’s not that we are in the role of the audience and we are simply following what is going on. He must take power- that is, the leadership of the General Staff,” Vice President of the Republican Party Armen Ashotyan told reporters during the latest trial for Serzh Sargsyan’s case.
According to the administrative court, Onik Gasparyan’s position was restored. Armen Ashotyan emphasized, “There is no need for martial law in Armenia. Onik Gasparyan must speak out about how there is no need for martial law in Armenia. Otherwise, Nikol says that everything is fine, but he still maintains martial law.”
