“What do you think about the Security Council secretary’s scandalous response to the question of whether or not Turkey is our enemy, in which he responded that we must change the way we view the region?” Prosperous Armenia deputy Naira Zohrabyan asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ara Ayvazyan during a session of the Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration in which the 2020 report was discussed.
“I do not wish to comment on that, but the only people who are able to present an official position on foreign policy are the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs,” the minister said.
Naira Zohrabyan also asked about the fate of the 188 Armenian prisoners of war held captive in Azerbaijan, emphasizing that the Armenian side even returned the bones of Azerbaijani soldiers killed during the first war, but our prisoners are currently considered criminals in Azerbaijan.
“Let me make some clarifications. That is not how many prisoners there are. The ECHR presented the 188 number when it demanded information about the prisoners. The number is different, and I won’t say it,” Ara Ayvazyan said.
