People paid their final respects in a special ceremony on Saturday to Major General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan, the legendary Komandos.
Citizens and friends in combat bid the glorious Komandos farewell with applause.
The chair of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, Sasun Mikayelyan, was also present for the funeral. He told reporters, “Komandos went in grief. He took Shushi’s loss to heart. He took it to heart because he was the one who commanded the operation to liberate Shushi. At the time, it seemed impossible for us to liberate Shushi, but Komandos was able to accomplish that through his ideas and military prowess. We will never lose our hope. Whenever our soldiers fell is sacred land to us, and we are obligated to return to our sacred lands.”
